Scott Howard

Exercise Physiologist

The gratitude experienced through helping people strive towards and/or achieve their goals through movement and health outcomes is why Scott became an Exercise Physiologist. Scott wanted to study a health qualification entailing anatomy and physiology as he believes it is the most relevant information anyone can ever learn (you’re in your body for every second of your entire life, why would you not want to know about it?). Scott views health from a holistic perspective whereby the dynamic interplay of the pillars of health greatly influences one another and overall health and vitality. ‘The Brain that Changes Itself’, the book that redefined neuroplasticity, ignited Scott’s interest in neurological rehabilitation and paved the way for his career path.

Scott enjoys the dynamic nature of work at the Centre of Movement as no two days or sessions are ever the same. “Seeing a child sit for the first time, stand, or take their first few steps is incredibly fulfilling”. Furthermore, Scott believes working in neurological rehabilitation promotes an array of life perspectives due to the diversity of clientele and their families.

In his spare time, Scott enjoys travelling, seeing new places, picking heavy things up at the gym and then putting them back down numerous times over, reading books, and having a few laughs with mates.
